Dr. Ngozi Chinyere Azubogu is the current University Librarian at Eastern Palm University. She holds a BLS (Abia State University, Uturu) in 1992, MLS (Imo State University, Owerri) in 2007 and Ph.D (Imo State University, Owerri) in 2014. She is a Chartered Librarian (CLN), a Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professional, United Kingdom (CILIP) as well as a Certified Cataloguer. Her experience spans from Imo State University (IMSU) Library where she started as a Higher Library Officer and held several positions such as Circulation Librarian & Chief Cataloguer up to the post of Senior Librarian at IMSU. She was also a Lecturer at Imo State University and is currently a member of the Governing Council, College of Education (Technical) Bichi, Kano State. She has extensive experience in Library setup and has actively been involved in the setting up of several libraries such as the School of Nursing Library Orlu, Several departmental libraries at the Imo State University (IMSU), Rocha’s Foundation of Africa School Library and presently, Eastern Palm University Library. Her teaching and research experience covers courses such as Practical Laboratory Work, Advanced Cataloguing and Classification as well as Management of Technical Services across undergraduate and postgraduate education.

She is a Member, Nigerian Library Association (NLA); Member, American Library Association (ALA); Member, International Federation of Library Association; Member, Cataloguing, Classification & Indexing Section of Nigerian Library Association; Member, Association of Women Librarians in Nigeria; Member, Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, United Kingdom (CLIP); Member, Local Organizing Committee, NLA Week, Imo State Chapter and Vice Chairman, Cataloguing & Classification & Indexing Section (CAT & CLASS); Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants. She has attended various conferences locally and internationally such as the study tour for Women Librarians in Johannesburg, South Africa, Conferences of the American Library Association (ALA) in USA, World Library and Information Congress IFLA General Conference across South Africa, USA and Poland as well as Annual Conference of Nigerian Library Association locally.

She has been involved in the writing of two books - A Fundamental Approach to Practical Laboratory in Library and Information Science and Best Approach to the use of Library. She has also been involved in over several publications in various journals such as the Journal of Library and Information Science, The Information Technologist: An International Journal of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Journal of Library Information Science and Technology, Journal of Cataloguing, Classification and Indexing, Heartland Journal of Library and Information Science and African Journal of Social Sciences, Nigerian Library and Information Science Trends: Journal of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Imo State Chapter.

She has received several awards such as the Award of Excellence from the National Association of Library and Information Sciences Students, IMSU Chapter, award of Excellence for study tour in Gauteng, Department of Education, Gauteng Provincial Government, South Africa, Award of Honor as Icon of Woman Leadership, Education Library and Information Science Students (ELISS), Imo State University and Award as an Outstanding Woman conferred by The Men’s Fellowship St. John Anglican Church, A Practicing License Certificate Award by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI).

She is currently the Financial Secretary, PTA Madonna Models Secondary School, Owerri, also served as the Vice President, Catholic Women Organization (CWO) at St. Josephs’ Catholic Chaplaincy Imo State University Owerri and currently the Coordinator, Association of Women Librarians (AWLIN), Imo State Chapter. She is happily married and blessed with children
