Ernest Onuoha


Born on 16th November, 1960 to the Christian family of Mr. Isaac Nnaji (Late) and Mrs. Sussana Onuoha of Umuebere-Aja Eluama. Ernest attended the Methodist Primary School Uwani, Enugu and Teachers' College, Azaraegbelu Emekuku, Owerri.

He is a worthy alumnus of the University of Nigeria. He holds a Masters' Degree in Educational Measurement and Evaluation (1988). His Doctoral Degree is in Educational Psychology. He was a Federal Government Undergraduate Scholar from 1980-1984 and the winner of the Greater Anambra State NYSC Special Award for Distinguished Service (1985). Ernest is currently a member of several professional groups. These include: Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM, 2002); Committee of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (CORNU: 2003-2013/2017); The Nigerian Association of Consulting Psychologists (NACP) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

Ernest Onuoha gave meritorious service to Abia State University as a Registrar in no less than one hundred and twenty six University Committees and Panels. He served Abia State University as Registrar for ten years (2003-2013); Director, ABSU Microfinance Bank Ltd. (2004-2013); Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, ABSU Consult Ltd., a University-based multi- disciplinary Consultancy Firm (2013-2017).

He was the Special Assistant/Resource Person to the Leader of the South-East Delegates tothe 2014 National Conference: HE Sen. (Gen.) Ike Omar Sanda Nwachukwu. Ernest is currently the Registrar of Eastern Palm University, Ogboko in Imo State.

His record in community service is equally impressive. While at the University of Nigeria, he served as President, Isuikwuato Students' Association. He was the Secretary-General of Eluama Development Union for seven years. Ernest is currently the President-General, lsuikwuato Developrnent Union. Okigwe Chapter and the Chairman, lsuikwuato Patriots- a Community Development-Oriented pressure group.

Ernest Onuoha is a Worthy Ambassador of Methodism (WAM) and is happily married with six children.
