Professor Dafe Otobo is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration & Academics) and current acting Vice Chancellor of Eastern Palm University (EPU). Professor Otobo joined EPU from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) where he has been a Professor of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.
He has been a consultant to national and international organisations for the past 30 years, including: several agencies of the Federal Government of Nigeria; The Wages, Salaries and Emolument Relativity Panel; Presidential Committee on Consolidation of Emoluments in the Public Sector; International Labour Organisation (ILO); African Regional Labour Administrative Centre (ARLAC), ILO, Harare, Zimbabwe, European Union (EU), ECOWAS; German Friedrich Ebert Foundation; UK Department for International Development (DFID); Shell-BP; Chevron; Addax Petroleum Co.; African Petroleum (AP); Unipetrol Plc; Sedco-Forest; Cotecna International; Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC); Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR); NAPIMS; National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG); Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN); National Labour Congress (NLC); Trade Union Congress (TUC); Association of Senior Staff of Banks, Insurance & Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI), and Several Industrial Unions and Senior Staff Associations in Nigeria. He was also a member of the Job Evaluation Team for the Presidential Commission on Federal Polytechnics, Advanced Teachers, Training and Technical Colleges (Adamolekun Commission), 1981-1982.
Professor Dafe Otobo holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Sociology (Second Class Lower) from the University of Ibadan, Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Economics (Industrial Relations) from The London School of Economics and Political Science and DPhil (Doctor of Philosophy) degree from the University of Oxford. He is happily married with children.
