A. Recruitment

B. Arbitration and conciliation services

C. Climate surveys/mapping exercises

These are quick and intense in situ assessment/study of an aspect of the organizational environment: views and attitudes to a particular policy or issue; industrial relations environment; legal and administrative framework; etc. Such provide essential and accurate information and data for efficient management and meaningful decisions and formulation of strategies.

D. Research

Involves a short-run to medium-run detailed study of a particular situation or phenomenon of strategic importance to the client (e.g. social dialogue; incidence of HIV/AIDS; birth control and sexual practices; dispute settlement mechanism; conflicts and disputes). It could be pre-emptive or post-mortem, depending on the issues and circumstances, and thus contributes immensely to eliminating avoidable pitfalls or errors and/or preventing a repetition of mistakes. In all, it enriches policy formulation and implementation.


E. Surveys

Surveys incorporate a degree of climate surveys/mapping exercises but provide data across organizations and industries. Typical examples include data on comparative pay structure in an industry; disputes and strike figures within an industry or across industries; best practices regarding motivational packages for employees; community culture and social organization; general economic and social surveys; HIV-AIDS at work and in the community; etc. Accurate information and statistics assist in bettering the competition in the case of corporate clients and creating a more enabling environment by fostering knowledge-based policies.

F. Publishing

The ideas and innovations generated almost on a daily basis in the course of business as usual need to be made public and presented in a generally accepted format, quite often in the forms of reports, journals, newsletters and periodicals, corporate diaries and calendars, audited reports/accounts, posters, flyers, books, and magazines. These are very strong means of expressing corporate ideals, goals and achievements. H. Environmental impact assessment

The law in Nigeria requires that investors (individuals, communities, corporate bodies, and state agencies) undertake an environmental impact assessment study of their major projects. Such a study should focus on the likely impacts (positive and negative) on the environment (land-take, flora and fauna, air, soil, water, etc.), communities (land-use, social organisation, etc.) and comply with requirements of regulatory authorities.
We provide the experts and the team to carry out such a study on behalf of the client so as to ensure that the new project or expansion of an existing project is in strict compliance with local and international environmental laws. We have been quite active in the oil and gas and manufacturing industries.


I. HIV-AIDS, Health and Safety, and Discrimination Issues

Covers incidence and prevention of HIV-AIDS at work and communities; industrial health and safety hazards; industrial accidents, injury and laws governing standards; regulatory authorities and regulatory framework; maternity/paternity related matters; gender and other forms of discrimination; stress and its impact; best practices and productivity; etc. Studies could be commissioned and/or workshops organised on any of these themes or topics.

J. Social dialogue and policy-making process

The reform of policy-making institutions remains pivotal to the regeneration of African societies and economies. Our chequered history, largely dominated by authoritarianism of successive political authorities, has encouraged politics of exclusivism and top-bottom, hand-down diktats regarding socio- economic measures and policies. Here policy-makers in the public service, including utilities/parastatals and state-owned enterprises, are exposed to inclusive possibilities in the conception, formulation and implementation of crucial socio-economic policies that would vastly increase the buy-in/ownership of such by various communities and groups.
